Ready to reel in some of the Gulf's finest? Hop aboard with Reel Bloods Fishing Charter for a 4-hour offshore escapade that'll have you hooked from start to finish. Whether you're a seasoned angler or it's your first time wetting a line, our Pro Anglers have got you covered. We'll cruise out 1-9 miles from Destin's emerald shores, chasing the bite and adjusting our game plan to make sure you're in on the action.
Our offshore waters are teeming with some real beauties. We're talking Red Snapper that'll make your drag sing, hefty Amberjack that'll test your arms, and speedy King Mackerel that'll have you hollering with excitement. And that's just the start. Vermillion Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, and Bonito are all on the menu too. We kick things off with some trolling to warm up those reels, then switch to bottom fishing where the big boys hang out. No need to worry about gear - we've got top-notch rods and reels ready for you.
Never fished before? No sweat. Our crew lives for sharing the ins and outs of offshore angling. We'll show you how to read the water, bait your hook like a pro, and set the hook when you feel that telltale tug. Trolling's our go-to for covering ground and enticing those surface feeders. We'll have lines out the back, skipping lures that mimic baitfish to attract the predators. When we switch to bottom fishing, you'll learn to feel for that sweet spot where your bait's just off the seafloor. It's all about patience and a quick wrist when you feel the bite. And hey, bring some snacks and drinks - nothing works up an appetite like reeling in dinner!
Don't just take our word for it. Check out what folks are saying about their time with Reel Bloods:

Let's talk about some of the knockout species you might tangle with on your trip. Blackfin Tuna are the speedsters of the deep, known for their lightning-fast runs that'll have your reel smoking. These guys school up year-round but really show out in the fall. They're not just a blast to catch - they make for some killer sushi too.
Mahi Mahi, or Dolphinfish if you're feeling fancy, are the acrobats of the ocean. These colorful characters are known for their wild aerial displays when hooked. Spring through fall is prime time for Mahi, and they're a favorite for their fights and their flavor. Nothing beats fresh Mahi tacos after a day on the water.
Greater Amberjack, affectionately called "reef donkeys" by local anglers, are the bruisers of the bunch. These powerful fish hang around wrecks and reefs, and when you hook one, hold on tight! They're at their peak in the cooler months and put up a fight that'll leave your arms shaking.
Cobia, the "man in the brown suit," is a prized catch in these parts. These curious fish often shadow larger marine life and are known for their powerful runs and delicious white meat. Spring is the golden time for Cobia as they migrate along our coast.
Bluefin Tuna are the heavyweight champs of our waters. These massive fish can top 1,000 pounds and are the holy grail for many offshore anglers. They're typically a winter catch in the Gulf, and landing one is an experience you'll never forget. Just remember, there are strict regulations on Bluefin, so we practice catch and release to keep 'em coming back.
So, what do you say? Ready to feel that salt spray on your face and the thrill of a bent rod in your hands? Our 4-hour trip is perfect for getting a taste of Gulf fishing without overwhelming the family or your sea legs. We're all about making memories and putting you on fish, whether you're looking to fill the cooler or just enjoy the ride. The emerald waters of Destin are calling, and the fish are waiting. Give Reel Bloods a shout, and let's get you out there where the action is. Trust me, once you feel that first hit, you'll be planning your next trip before we even hit the dock!

We had a fantastic family fishing trip with “Reel Bloods” Ryan and Amanda are the Hostess with the mostest! They welcomed us and we had such a great time. My daughter-in-law caught the largest fish, a 32-inch king mackerel. Captain Ryan was patient and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. The trip was relaxing and fun, and we even brought our 3.5-year-old grandson on his first fishing trip. The charter was awesome , fun filled and super clean, book the trip it was worth it 💯! We’re already planning our next trip! We highly recommend Reel Bloods! -Salaiz Family

Blackfin Tuna are the smallest of the Thunnus genus, typically reaching 39 inches and up to 46 pounds. They're a blast to catch, known for their quick runs and acrobatic jumps. You'll find them in warm waters, often near the surface in depths of 30-350 feet. They tend to school up around floating objects or structures. Spring and fall are prime seasons, but we can catch them year-round here. Blackfin put up a great fight for their size and make excellent table fare. When targeting them, I like to use smaller lures or live bait like pilchards. A good trick is to look for diving birds – that often means there's a school of Blackfin feeding below. Remember, they have sharp eyesight, so using lighter leaders can increase your chances of a hookup.

Bluefin Tuna are the giants of the tuna world, averaging 6-8 feet and 500-700 pounds. They're found in both shallow and deep waters, often migrating long distances. Spring and fall are prime seasons here. Anglers prize Bluefin for their incredible strength and stamina - these fish can empty a reel in seconds. They're also considered the pinnacle of sushi-grade fish. When targeting Bluefin, we usually troll with large lures or chunk with fresh bait. Here's a tip: if you hook one, be prepared for a long fight. These fish don't tire easily, and battles can last hours. Make sure your gear is up to the task - Bluefin will expose any weakness. It's a true bucket-list fish for many anglers, combining raw power with delicious meat.

Cobia are unique fish that often get mistaken for sharks due to their shape. They typically run 30-50 pounds but can reach over 100. You'll find them around buoys, wrecks, and even following large rays or sharks. Spring is prime time as they migrate along the coast, but we catch them through summer too. Cobia are prized for both their fight and their excellent table fare. They're curious fish, often coming right up to the boat. When targeting them, I like to use live eels or large jigs. Here's a local trick: if you spot one, cast well ahead of it. Cobia can be finicky, but they're suckers for a well-presented bait. Once hooked, be ready for powerful runs and some acrobatics. It's a fish that'll keep you on your toes!

Greater Amberjacks are hard-fighting fish that can reach up to 6 feet and 100 pounds, though 30-50 pounders are more common. You'll find them around reefs, wrecks, and offshore structures in depths of 60-240 feet. Spring and fall are prime seasons, but we catch them year-round. Anglers love AJs for their powerful runs and never-say-die attitude - they'll test your arms and your gear. They're also good eating, with firm, white meat. When targeting AJs, I like to use live bait like blue runners or heavy jigs. Here's a tip: once you hook one, get it away from the structure quickly. If you don't, it'll dive back in and likely break you off. Be ready for a workout - these fish don't give up easily!

Mahi Mahi, also called dorado, are some of the most colorful fish you'll see out here. They typically run 15-30 pounds but can get up to 60. You'll find them in open water, often around floating debris or weed lines. Spring through fall is prime time, with summer being the peak. Mahi are known for their acrobatic fights and are a favorite among anglers. They're also fantastic eating - firm, white meat with a mild, sweet flavor. When we're targeting Mahi, I like to troll near floating structure or use live bait like ballyhoo. Here's a local tip: if you hook one, keep it in the water. Mahi often travel in schools, and the hooked fish will attract others. It's not uncommon to catch several from the same spot if you play it right.
